IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO THE MANY SUPPORTERS OF THE MID NORTH COAST BELLY DANCE FESTIVAL

It is with some personal regret but also with pleasure, that I have to announce that The 5th Mid North Coast Belly Dance Festival, 2009 will be hosted and organized by Ishtar Goddess Belly Dance, located in Kempsey in the Macleay Valley. Shanna Hindi is the Principal& Teacher of this school. Their Incorporation name is Kempsey Macleay Bellydance Inc. The Festival will be held On September ll, 12 and 13, 2009. I have always invoked the Goddess in my approach to this festival, strongly believing that to embrace and unify all of the women that partake, either as teachers, performers or participants, is the way to go and that the Mid North Coast as a region, not only includes my own valley of the Manning but others as well. No-one can own this festival, it belongs to us all, so that when I began to understand that my energy had diminished and that my support was no longer available, I decided to outreach and was fortunate to find a willing group of women in the Macleay who have the necessary skills and passion to continue the high quality presentation of the Mid North Coast Belly Dance Festivals. I have absolute Trust that nothing will be lost in your enjoyment of this event and that Shanna’s team will do a top job. I admit to grieving the loss of ‘my baby’, as I conceived the idea and put my heart and soul into the festival for four years, but my time of service has come to an end and I am being drawn in another direction.
